Summer Term message from Mr Swift:

Welcome to the Summer everyone! I hope everyone has enjoyed their break and is raring to go for a big term ahead in Year 6!

This half term is as busy as ever! Our topic for this term is 'Britain at War' and the children will have the opportunity to explore the role Britain played in both World Wars, as well as the significant impact these events had upon our world today. To supplement this, we have a trip planned to the Imperial War Museum in Manchester during the second half term, where children can take part in an interactive experience and learn from experts. We will also be taking part in our Forest School session in that same half term and furthering our knowledge and understating of evolution and inheritance in wildlife and plants. Sports Day will be here soon enough and we hope to make our final one a day to remember, showcasing all of our sporting prowess, as well as our teamwork, respect and sportsmanship.

SATs are just around the corner and there is a lot of preparation to be done. The children have worked so hard and can be extremely proud of their efforts so far.....just a little further!

Please follow the links below for more guidance on this term.

Five loaves and two fish - all for Y6

Posted: Feb 15, 2024 by: Lindsay Walton (L.Walton) on: Year 6 Blog

Year One have been listening to the story of Jesus feeding five thousand people. They tried to share five loaves of bread and two fish with the 30 children in Y6 and barely had enough for them to share! Year 6 - thanks for being great sports and fabulous examples to our younger children.
