Summer Term message from Mr Swift:
Welcome back !
As always in Year 6 Summer Term is an extremely busy one with lots of thinks to look forward to! In the first part of the term we will be focusing on preparing for our SATs tests in May. Children are encouraged to get themselves in to a strong routine, revise and work extremely hard to achieve the best results possible. We are very proud of everyone's efforts so far this year and we know our Year 6 children will continue to impress. Following on from this we have our Enterprise Week, Sports Day, End of Year Performance, Forest School Sessions, Tiggis and of course Borwick Hall!
In class we will look at our topic of Maafa to examine the huge impact of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the long-lasting effects on History, Geography, Culture and The Arts. We will be exploring light in Science and hopefully making the most of the sunshine in Athletics, Cricket and Rounders.
In this term, everything our Year 6 children do will be our last time doing it at our wonderful school, so let's make sure we make every moment count!
Please take a look at the documents below so you can find out more about what we will be learning.
If you have any questions at all - please do ask!

Terrific Tennis
Posted: Feb 29, 2024 by: R Swift (R.Swift) on: Year 6 Blog
Another visit from our excellent tennis coach Pete, who showed us how to hit a successful forehand and backhand. Our Year 6 children were as wonderful as ever and are improving their skills all the time. Some brilliant tennis players already, who have said they would love to give it a try out of school and take up a new sport!
