Summer Term message from Mrs Mason:
The Early Years team would like to warmly welcome all the children and their family back to school after Easter ready summer term learning. This half term we will be learning under the Big Wide World and Build It Up. We will be reading the texts So Much, The Night Pirates and We All Go Travelling By. We will use our texts to share ideas, respond to what we have heard and to write for a purpose. In Phonics we will be learning more Harder to Read and Spell words as well as learning to read words that end in 'ed'. 'Ed' ending words can make the sounds /id/ ed/ and /t/. Remember to keep reading daily! In Maths we will be learning and practising with our teen numbers as well as exploring number patterns of odds, evens, bonds to ten and doubles. This half term we will be learning about animals around the world, journeys that we can make and explore a fanous artist called James Rizzi. Later in the half term we will be visiting Park View 4U for our school trip and going for a local area walk. In RE we will learn about Special Places. Thank you in advance for all your support and if you have any questions please just ask. Mrs Corinne Mason

Our children have been learning all about 'People who help us'. They have enjoyed learning about the work of the Police, Ambulance service, Firefighters, Dentists and Doctors. They LOVED dressing up in the clothes and sitting in the police car too!
