Autumn Term message from Ms Martyn-Clark:

A very warm welcome to the juniors! I am really looking forward to this term with my new class. Of course, we will be doing lots of exciting, new learning.  Our 'knowledge rich project' will be 'Through the Ages' and we will be doing some interesting history work from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. We will also be making some pots out of clay, in the style of the 'Bell Beaker' potters, turning tables on their side to create some cave art and learn about colour theory where we immerse ourselves in colour mixing. This is just a glimmer of what lies ahead!

Please take a look at the documents below so you can find out more about what we will be learning.

If you have any questions at all - please do ask!

This week in Science we have been learning about animal nutrition where we designed a poster and presented our findings to the rest of the class.

In English we have been learning about the features of instruction writing and using time adverbials to sequence.

In Maths we have been partitioning and using  numbers to 1000 and in art we have been building on our colour theory knowledge from Year 2.

We have demonstrated incredible swing passes in rugby and learnt how to keep safe near open windows.
