Summer Term message from Mrs Kelly:

Welcome to the summer term! This term we will be doing lots of exciting, new learning.  Our 'knowledge rich project' will be 'Emperors and Empires'' and we will be doing some interesting history work all about  the Roman empire including learning about everyday life and studying roman artefacts, inventions and emperors.

Excitedly, as part of our history topic, in May we have our trip to Ribchester Museum to look forward to. And also  in June our Roman Day in school, where the fantastic Mr Worrell will be coming into school share his wonderful artefacts and knowledge with the children.

This term we will also have swimming to look forward to. Whilst some children will commence swimming in April and others slightly later in the term they will all be working towards achieving their 25 metre badge which will be a fantastic achievement!

This is just a snap shot of what lies ahead!

Please take a look at the documents below so you can find out more about what we will be learning.

If you have any questions at all - please do ask!

Year 3 have had a great time in their Forest School sessions.  They have made damper bread with garlic butter. They have made a tree cookie using a bow saw and a bit and brace, which they are proudly wearing in the group photograph. They worked together incredibly well and thoroughly enjoyed their time outdoors.
